You will also be supported by a psychedelic-informed psychotherapist across the full five-week journey, including on the retreat day itself.

The depth of the experience is shaped by the preparation before and the integration that follows. Over the 5 weeks we will explore the five-layered self. Multiple layers of your inner world (mind, emotions, patterns, identity, and deeper self.)

✔️ Across the three weeks of preparation, we work with breathwork, journalling, and embodied practices to help you build awareness, safety, and inner capacity before the retreat day. We will work with the arc of the 5 Koshas (the layers of self) over the 5 weeks.

  • Annamaya — physical body

  • Pranamaya — energy + breath

  • Manomaya — mind + emotions

  • Vijnanamaya — identity + inner wisdom

  • Anandamaya — connection, joy, wholeness

Breathwork is used to gently regulate the nervous system and increase your ability to stay present with sensation and emotion.

Journalling is guided through the lens of Dr Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry, supporting you to meet subconscious patterns, protective strategies, and inner narratives with curiosity.

Embodiment practices to deepen your connection with your body and the messages it continuously communicates.

Together, these practices ensure you arrive at the medicine resourced, grounded, and connected to yourself. The preparation and integration sessions will be led by Kavita and our in-house psychedelic informed psychotherapist.

✔️ Coming together in circle- During the preparation weeks, we gather in circle, an honoured way to build trust, connection, and shared group energy. Circle allows participants to be seen and heard, creating safety, coherence, and a sense of collective support that deepens the work on the retreat day itself.

✔️ Online Opening & Closing Ceremonies — The journey begins the moment you choose to step in, and is consciously opened and closed with guided ritual and reflection.

✔️ Two weeks of integration-A spacious period to make sense of what has opened, supported by guided reflection, embodied practices, and ongoing care allowing the medicine to settle and integrate naturally.

What Is Set and Setting and Why Does It Matter?

In medicine work, it’s widely understood that the medicine isn’t the whole story. What really shapes an experience is set and setting.

Set is what you bring with you: your mindset, emotional state, nervous system, beliefs, expectations, life context, and intentions. Setting is everything around you: the physical space, the people present, the level of trust, safety, and how well the experience is held. Together, set and setting strongly influence the quality and direction of a journey.

Researchers have been pointing to this for decades. Early on, Timothy Leary emphasised the role of mindset and environment. More recently, work by Roland Griffiths has shown that people tend to have more meaningful and positive outcomes when they feel prepared, safe, and supported. Robin Carhart-Harris has demonstrated that psychedelics increase openness and emotional sensitivity, which can be transformative, but also makes context especially important. And James Fadiman has long stressed that what happens before and after the experience matters just as much as the experience itself.

Despite this, preparation in many ceremonial contexts is often limited to dietary or lifestyle guidelines. Yet the medicine responds to the conditions it’s given. This is why we place such care on psychological preparation, relational safety, and integration…so whatever opens has somewhere safe to land.

The Dates - 90 minute weekly online calls. (Teaching and Somatic Practice).

Calls are also recorded if you can’t make them live.

Week 1: 17th August

Anamaya Kosha (physical body) - Opening ceremony.

Before anything else can open, the body needs to feel safe. This first week is about arriving, fully, slowly, and without rushing toward the experience ahead. We begin where everything begins, the body as a living field of intelligence. This week we slow down enough to notice what is actually here, sensations, textures, aliveness, tension. Through somatic tracking, we start to listen to the body's language and through gentle inquiry, we follow what we find there. The mind becomes curious rather than controlling. This is the ground from which everything else will grow.

Week 2: 24th August

Pranamaya kosha (energy + breath)

Breath is the bridge between our mind and our body. This week we work with pranayama practices. You'll begin to feel what it means to move energy consciously through the body, and to access non-ordinary states through breath alone, a gentle and powerful preparation for the ceremony.

Emotions are energy moving through the body, carrying information. This week we work with breath as a doorway into the emotional body, what’s been held, suppressed, or unfelt. Through somatic tracking we notice where emotion lives in the body

Week 3: 31st August

Manomaya kosha (mind + emotions) (The medicine day retreat will take place on Saturday 5th September).

Patterns are the body's way of keeping us safe. They live in our posture, breath, and our reactions.

The ceremony container holds the space for whatever is ready to be seen. The medicine works most powerfully at this layer, surfacing patterns, dissolving defences, making visible what has long lived below the surface. You will be held throughout by the group field and by experienced facilitation.

Week 4: 7th September

Vijnanamaya kosha (identity + wisdom)

After ceremony, something fundamental can shift in our sense of who we are and the identities we’ve built. This week we sit with this space in-between. The Inquiry becomes meeting the self with openness and compassion.

The conditioned mind, the one that analyses and doubts, loosens its grip, and a deeper intelligence becomes available. This week isn’t about figuring out what the experience meant. It’s about learning to trust the knowing that came through. We work with dream journalling, contemplative inquiry, and deep witnessing practices that help you receive rather than interpret, and honour the Neuroplasticity window that ceremony opens.

Week 5:

Anandamaya kosha (connection, joy, wholeness)

Ananda is often translated as bliss but in classical tantra it points to sat-chit-ananda, being, consciousness, and fullness. This final phase is about bringing that fullness into ordinary life. We anchor into integration, sustaining change through your experience on a neurological and embodied level. We end with a closing ceremony.
